Climate change and extinction in the spotlight

The January 8 issue of Nature, Feeling the heat: Climate change and biodiversity loss, includes a new and alarming study of extinction risk from climate change by Thomas et. al. (including OTS 89-4 alumnus Oliver Phillips from the University of Leeds, UK).

See complete details, as well as additional news and views on the subject from J. Alan Pounds, OTS award recipient and course resource, and Robert Puschendorf: http://www.nature.com/nature/links/040108/040108-1.html

Duke biology professor and OTS assembly member Rob Jackson added to the debate on NPR January 7. To hear the story, visit:

This discussion is a great example of how OTS trained scientists contribute to our understanding of the natural world.
