Manual of Best Practices for Recruiting and Retaining Underrepresented Groups in Ecology and the Environmental Sciences

View From the Canopy

The Manual of Best Practices for Recruiting and Retaining Underrepresented Groups in Ecology and the Environmental Sciences was developed by the OTS Advisory Committee for Academic Diversity and funded by the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program within the U.S. National Science Foundation. The Manual of Best Practices is a reference guide for exploring the factors influencing African American, Hispanic American, and Native American students entry and persistence in ecology and environmental sciences and highlights OTS and other programs that promote identification, recruitment, and retention of students from underrepresented groups in the sciences who pursue advanced degrees in these disciplines.
