Dr. Eugenio González

Current Position
Scientific Director, Palo Verde Biological Station

Areas of Interest
Restoration ecology, restoration of degraded pasturelands, restoration projects, tropical ecosystems, adaptability of tree species to degraded soils. Wetland restoration, hydrology and management of wetlands, interested in investigating the major ecological process taking place post-restoration, such as plant dynamics and seed soil bank.

Forest hydrology, Hydro-meteorological modeling, watershed management, environmental impact analysis, watershed management, land use planning, soil and water conservation, reforestation with exotic and native tree species, forest management and certification, forestry and environmental education, conservation biology. Thesis advisor for students working in Panama, Bolivia, and Costa Rica.
