Luis Diego, worked for OTS for more than 20 years as a Professor for many courses including Ecology, Ethnobiology and Tropical Medicine; he was also a researcher, collaborator and most of all a friend. He directed the Las Cruces Biological Station from 1986- 2005 and the La Selva Biological Station from 2003-2005.
This extraordinary scientist, was a world-renowned reference on the flora of Costa Rica and the Neotropics. He was also a distinguished paleontologist, and was the first person to do research in this discipline in Costa Rica.
